Ticket and Box Office Policies

The Anacostia Playhouse is located at street level and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact the Box Office to request accessible seating when you purchase your tickets.

All patrons are required to have a ticket, regardless of age.

Once the performance has begun, entrance into the theater is subject to availability and not guaranteed.  Late seating may or may not be permitted at the discretion of Theater Alliance House Management Staff. All patrons are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes before show time.  Refunds will not be issued to late arrivals.

Cell phones disrupt the performance. They must be turned off before the show begins. Cameras, recorders, pagers, laser pointers, etc. are prohibited inside the theater.

Photography, videotaping, audio, or other recordings of events are expressly prohibited.

Theater Alliance does not provide tickets refunds or exchanges.

If bad weather prevents you from attending, call the Box Office as soon as possible and no later than the following day, to make alternative arrangements, excluding a refund.

In the unlikely event that a show is cancelled, best efforts will be given to notify patrons at the earliest possible time. Show cancellations are typically communicated via e-mail, phone, and social media. In the event of a cancellation, you will be given the opportunity to move your ticket(s) to another date of the production at no additional cost based on available seating. If you are not able to attend any of the remaining performances, you may select to attend another production in the current Theater Alliance season or request a refund. All refund requests must be submitted within 10 business days of the canceled performance. If requesting a refund after this deadline, you will be given the option of using the value of your ticket(s) toward another production or turning your purchase into a tax-deductible donation to Theater Alliance.

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is not permitted in the Anacostia Playhouse. Smoking is only permitted at least 25 feet from the building entrance.

Theater Alliance reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed unbecoming or interferes with the audience’s ability to enjoy the performance in the manner in which it is intended. No refunds. Ticket holders expressly assume all liability for risk and danger incidental to the ticketed event. Your use of a ticket acknowledges your willingness to appear in photographs or video taken in the lobby or theater and your agreement to hold harmless Theater Alliance, its elected officials, executive officers, agents, and/or employees from liability resulting from use of such photographs or video.
