Submit Headshot/Resume

Theater Alliance wants to see you and your work! If you’d like to be considered for our upcoming season and beyond, we encourage you to get in touch.

We welcome submissions from actors of all ethnicities, genders, ages, dis/abilities, national origins, identities, and beyond. Actors should be non-Equity, fully vaccinated, and residents of the DMV area.

Please email your submission materials* to submissions@theateralliance.com to be considered for the upcoming season and future projects.

*We at Theater Alliance seek to make our submission process as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you have a headshot and resume to send us, that’s great. If you prefer to send a different type of media to represent your work, in lieu of a resume, we look forward to seeing it. We invite you to show us who you are as an artist, in whatever way you choose. And if you prefer to speak with someone on our staff about submitting your materials in a non-digital format, please contact Kat White, Associate Producer at info@theateralliance.com.

Volunteers

Help Make the Show Go On!

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to support Theater Alliance. There are many ways that you can become more involved, from ushering at performances, working the Box Office, greeting patrons, or running the concession stand, to helping spread the word or organizing special events. Your help is valued and appreciated!

Theater Alliance aims to spark discussion within the immediate community, produce work that is important to our neighbors, reach out to individuals with little access to theater, and foster in Theater Alliance artists a drive to not just entertain, but also create meaningful work that leaves a lasting impression and even inspire action.

Playwrights

Play Submission Policy

Theater Alliance has a small staff and at this time cannot accept unsolicited script submissions. We encourage you to learn more about the Theater Alliance mission and production history to determine if your work would be a good fit.  If you feel it would, please submit by emailing submissions@theateralliance.com with a cover page and a 5 page sample of your script.

STARTING SALARY: $50,000 plus benefits

SUMMARY:

Theater Alliance seeks a visionary partner to lead the company into its next era of growth, ambition, and mission-driven work. Guided by the company’s vision and core values, the Managing Director will work collaboratively to oversee and implement the company’s business and administrative operations.
