Season 19: Call for Performers

Theater Alliance and IN Series are requesting submissions for the role of MIKE in I Was Looking at the Ceiling and Then I Saw the Sky. Performers interested in this role should be fully vaccinated, non-Equity, and have local housing in the DC area.

  • A selection from Ceiling/Sky (please contact corinne@inseries.org for sheet music excerpts)
  • Tell us a 90 second story (it can be personal, or one that you were told)
  • A recent picture & performance resume

Synopsis:

Ceiling/Sky is a powerful musical play that explores the aftermath of the 1994 earthquake in Los Angeles. Young people in their twenties navigate racial conflict, relations with the police, the criminal justice system, the persecution of immigrants, and sexual identity. The Northridge quake, a natural catastrophic event forces inner transformations in the lives of each character in profound ways.
