What a Week! MLK Jr. Parade and First Rehearsal

By Natalie Graves Tucker

You think Raymond’s first week was busy. This week was chock-full of activies on just the first two days. We participated in the 38th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. parade on the coldest day of the year on Monday. Our small yet mighty marching group consisted of Theater Alliance staff, board members, actors and interns.

We also had our first rehearsal for Dominique Morisseau’s Blood at the Root on Tuesday. Designers presented their plans for the show and our dynamic cast read the script for the first time. Artistic Director Raymond O. Caldwell is directing.
